Rajamala disaster: Death toll rises to 49

The death toll in the massive landslide that destroyed a row of 20 houses of tea estate workers in Rajamala in Idukki district rose to 49 on Monday with 6 more bodies being retrieved from the debris. According to the government, 80 people were staying at the spot where the tragedy occurred.
