As the water level rose due to incessant rainfall, the Pampa dam’s shutters will be opened.
Six shutters of the dam will be raised by 2 feet each. The maximum opening of the shutters are at 16 feet.
When they are opened at 2 ft, 82 cumecs water will be released which will be reflected in Ranni within 5 hours. Also, the water level at Pamba river is expected to rise by 40 cm.
