NDRF team deployed at Rajamala

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan informed that a National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) team was deployed at Rajamala in Idukki where a landslide occurred in heavy rains early on Friday.

According to reports, 5 persons were killed in the landslide.

67 more are feared trapped inside the debris.

He informed that an NDRF team camping in Idukki was directed to engage in rescue operations at Rajamala. Another NDRF team in Thrissur has also been asked to immediately reach Idukki.
